Brennan Townshend
GB International Ultra Trail Runner
Brennan is an elite ultra trail runner, professional running coach and former professional cyclist based in the lake district UK. He lives with his family in the heart of the northern lakes. Brennan's athletic endurance career spans 16 years including elite level racing in cycling, triathlon, and fell, trail and ultra running.
Brennan's stand out performances as a runner include two wins at the Three Peaks Fell Race, and wins in: UTS 50k UTMB, Garmin Mourne Sky race, V3K Ultra, Skiddaw, Newlands Memorial, Buttermere Sailbeck and Grisedale Horseshoe Fell races. He represented Great Britain in the 2022 European and World Trail running Championships, In the World Championships the team achieved a bronze medal. He was runner up in the 2022 English Fell Championships and a former UK Skyrunning Champion.
Brennan has been coaching endurance athletes for the past 12 years, using scientific driven coaching methods and programs to get the best performance from athletes and prepare them for races, events, and reach fitness goals. He is a qualified UK Athletics Running Coach, United Endurance Sports Coaching Academy running coach and Association of British Cycling Coach, studying BSc of Sport and Exercise Science at Manchester Metropolitan University. Professional development is always at the heart of Brennan's personal learning and development as a coach.
